Program Objective

“Efterskole” originated from a 19th-century Danish public education philosophy that emphasizes student development rather than exam scores, aiming to help students understand themselves, society, and the world through learning. This is why Danish families highly appreciate Efterskole. This educational system allows students to explore their true interests and build confidence before entering higher education while cultivating independence, self-discipline, and social skills through daily life.

Participate in the four-week “Danish Summer Exchange Program” and experience an amazing community with students from all over the world at an international summer school. Through the “Efterskole,” you will explore cultural differences, practice English, enjoy exciting leisure activities, and fully immerse yourself in daily life.

Students have the opportunity to learn and engage with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds, enhancing their confidence in using English while gaining a deeper understanding of Danish history and culture.

Unique Danish Education System “Efterskole”

This summer program focuses on developing students’ interests and personal growth, enhancing their teamwork skills, creativity, and independence. Students must select their classes prior to arriving in Denmark, with options for essential courses such as English and Science, as well as more active or creative classes like Outdoor Education and Design. Additionally, a variety of extracurricular subjects will be available in the afternoons and evenings.

Unique Learning and Social Experience

Every year, approximately 500 students from different countries are welcomed, providing opportunities for interaction with diverse cultural backgrounds. The education offered after class has a lasting positive impact on young people’s social relationships and enhances their trust in others and society. Through the group social life of the summer exchange, students can experience a fast-paced social environment that boosts their social skills and effectively integrates personal growth, skill development, and academic learning.
