This program is for international students with beginner to intermediate English skills and aims to enhance their conversation abilities while offering a fun and enriching cultural experience. Students will attend English classes and practice their speaking skills through engaging activities. The program will be held in a major Canadian city, primarily in Montreal. If capacity in Montreal is reached, Ottawa will be offered as a second destination.
Program Objective
Highlight
English immersion
Montreal is Canada’s second-largest city, renowned for its rich cultural diversity, blending French and English influences along with communities speaking many other languages. Students will spend four weeks in Montreal, Quebec, attending English lessons (15-20 hours/week) in the mornings and engaging in various afternoon activities that explore Montreal’s culture, sightseeing, sports, and the arts.
Discovering Montreal
While the program includes 1-2 day trips to nearby cities, it primarily centers on experiences in Montreal, so students should anticipate spending the majority of their time in the city rather than on sightseeing excursions. The city is surrounded by numerous parks and natural areas, like Mount Royal Park, making it an ideal spot for hiking, biking, and picnicking. With many historical buildings and museums, such as the Old Port area, Montreal showcases its rich history and cultural heritage.
