Through this exchange program, participants will enhance their understanding of climate change and wildlife conservation, strengthen connections and support with the local community, and promote cultural exchange to deepen their understanding of Masai culture. Starting from Nairobi, Kitengela, Naivasha, and Narok, the program will focus on learning about the impacts of climate change and response measures:
Locations
- Nairobi: As the main city, it’s convenient for transportation and resources.
- Kitengela: Close to Nairobi, suitable for community collaboration.
- Naivasha: With its lake and ecosystem, it’s ideal for learning about water resource management.
- Narok: Near Masai Mara, exploring the world-famous Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve.
Wildlife and Climate Change Learning
- Participate in lectures and workshops, inviting experts to share the impacts of climate change on ecosystems.
- Conduct field visits to observe ecological changes in different regions.
Community Service
- Collaborate with local children’s care centers for volunteer service.
- Provide educational resources and health checks to help improve living conditions in the community.
Cultural Learning
- Engage in interactive activities with the Masai community, such as crafts, dance, and experiences of traditional customs.
- Explore how Masai culture addresses the challenges of climate change.
Wildlife Migration Observation
