AFS InterCultural Fair 2025
The 19th AFS InterCultural Fair (ICF) concluded successfully on October 18. Special thanks to the co-organizing school, Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School, and Principal Wan Ka Kit, Andy, for their support in providing the venue and allowing students to serve as volunteers for ICF 2025. BLMCSS students collaborated with 16 AFS exchange students and AFS volunteers, contributing significantly to the event’s success. This collaboration fostered a vibrant multicultural atmosphere, enhancing understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures among all participants.
ICF 2025 successfully facilitated cultural exchange among 510 teachers and students from 35 schools, allowing everyone to learn from each other in a multicultural setting.
The event was truly remarkable, highlighted by the presence of Mr. Michael Ling, Chair of AFS Hong Kong Board of Directors, along with AFS board members Ms. Joey Lau and Ms. Jessica Ching. AFS Hong Kong was also honored to welcome the following guests at the opening ceremony :
- Mr. Carmelo Ficarra, Consul General of the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong
- Mr. Dion Chen, Principal of Ying Wa College
- Mr. Cheng Ying Kai, Principal of Maryknoll Secondary School

16 foreign exchange students from France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Mexico, and Venezuela will host various activities in different classrooms.
Join the AFS InterCultural Fair and experience fun classroom activities hosted by overseas exchange students! You will have the chance to learn about different cultures and easily interact in English. The more actively you participate, the greater your chances of being selected as the “Most Active Student” for a lucky draw to win a “Secret Prize.” Collect 3 stamps on your card, and you’ll also have a chance to enter the draw for the “Ultimate Grand Prize!”
Participants only need to :
- Join Classroom Activities : Participate in cultural activities in each classroom, and after completing each one, you will receive a stamp and a unique small gift.
- Participate Actively : In each classroom, take the initiative to learn and interact, demonstrating your enthusiasm to the overseas exchange students. This may give you the chance to be selected as the “Most Active Student” for a lucky draw to win a “Secret Prize.” with a total of 3 “Secret Prizes” available.
- Collect stamps : Once your stamp card has 3 stamps, you can exchange it for an “AFS Hong Kong Special Tote Bag” and enter the ultimate lucky draw for a chance to win an “AFS Hong Kong Special Luggage,” with a total of 2 prizes available.
