Participate in AFS Intercultural Exchanges Activities

The 20th AFS InterCultural Fair (ICF) 2026 will be co-organized and held at Concordia Lutheran School on Saturday, October 31, 2026. To further encourage more schools to participate, this year ICF is fully supported by the Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council, enhancing participation opportunities for local teachers and students. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with overseas exchange students from all over the world, gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures and languages through diverse, fun activities and performances. ICF attracts approximately 30 schools and 600 students every year. As spots are limited, we invite you to priority-book your spots.

• Venue: Concordia Lutheran School (12 Tai Hang Tung Rd, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon)

You will receive a confirmation email in 3-5 working days after submitting the reply slip.

AFSHK hopes that through an Intercultural Exchange Information Seminar, students can understand the benefits of intercultural exchange and the importance of becoming global citizens.

Seminar Content

• Inspiring stories : Inviting Hong Kong returnees who have participated in exchanges to share their stories
• Introduction to Exchange Programs : The benefits of studying abroad, becoming a host family and learn about exchange opportunities in different countries
• Scholarship : Related scholarship opportunities and how to apply for full scholarships

Date and Time

The seminar can be scheduled throughout the year, with specific times adjusted according to school needs.

AFSHK offers an all-round cultural experience for your school’s “Open Day” or “Cultural Day. We invite host students to visit your school and lead interactive cultural exchange activities, allowing your students to experience diverse cultures and enrich their language learning in a comprehensive way.

AFSHK provide activities to the schools, including but not limited to the following initiatives:

• Intercultural Exchange Information Seminar
• A booth with AFS’s gifts
• Inviting host student to interact with local students to share their local cultures.

We invite you to host one foreign exchange student aged 15–17 from countries in Europe, America, and Africa, creating a diverse learning environment for the students and explore international cultural and language. AFSHK has successfully partnered with 400 schools to  host over 900 exchange students from different countries in the past. This year, 22 exchange students from 13 countries will be studying in local schools. We invite your school to join our program and become a host school in 2027-28.

Host school only need to

• Exempt all tuition, textbooks, school uniforms and other related expenses
• Provide lunch and travel allowance
• Assist AFS in looking for and securing a host family for student

Looking for a transformative summer experience for your students? We cordially invite your school to join our upcoming 2027 Summer Exchange Program. Designed to foster global citizenship and intercultural awareness, this program offers students the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world, experience local life through host families or boarding schools, develop deep cross-cultural understanding and language skills. Study topics to enrich students’ exchange experience:

• Culture and Language
• Sustainability
• Overseas Community Service

Participants: 5–20 people per group
