AFS Hong Kong Staff

AFS employees support and work with our volunteers to provide high quality experiences for all participants and host families. AFS Hong Kong staff is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and developing exchange programs.

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Support & Volunteer Manager, the Operations Assistant will:

  • Manage the reception counter;
  • Handle telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries;
  • Assist in maintaining databases;
  • Assist with student support operations and volunteer development projects;
  • Assist on administrative duties of student programs and office logistics;
  • Assist with team meetings, volunteer events, and student transportation, which can be on evenings and weekends;
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Executive Director, the Senior Director of Programs, or his/her delegates.

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service, education, or NGO is an advantage;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; must be proficient in both English & Chinese;
  • Interest and passion for international education and youth development;
  • Independent and details-oriented;
  • Good team player with positive work attitude and well-organized.
