Frequently Asked Questions

Of course it is difficult at first, but when you are living in a foreign language environment, learning language is much faster than in Hong Kong. Usually our exchange students could handle the basic local language around Christmas, their language proficiency also often helped them to stand out in studying or job seeking afterwards. To help exchange students in adapting, we, AFS office or volunteers, will also try to offer basic knowledge of the language before departure.
