Year Exchange Program is a high school exchange program that lasts for one academic year. AFS students will live with host family and attend local school in the host country. Support will be provided to students as well as host families by our experience volunteers.

Candidates for the year program should be between 15 to 18.5 years of age on the date of arrival in their host country though age requirements vary from country to country.

Before departing for the host country, AFS will assist students in arranging re-entry to Hong Kong schools. Most schools are willing to re-admit students after their year abroad. Students from more than 220 Hong Kong schools have participated in AFS programs.
