Year Program
Year Program is a high school exchange program that lasts for one academic year. AFS students will live with host family and attend local school on the host country. Ample support will be provided to students as well as host families by our experience volunteers.

Candidates for the year program should be between 15 to 18.5 years old on the date of arrival in their host country though the age requirements vary from country to country.

Before departing to the host country, AFS will assist students in arranging for re-entry to Hong Kong schools. Most schools are willing to re-admit students after their year abroad. Students from more than 220 Hong Kong schools have participated in AFS programs.

Summer Program
Students aged 15 to 18.8 are eligible to apply for the Program to Finland or Japan. This language-specific home-stay program allows students to stay with local host families and experience first-hand on local culture and language.
