AFS believes that intercultural exchange program can encourage independent thinking and learning among local students. This will in turn enhance their ability in knowledge integration and application, critical thinking and decision-making.
Participants should:
The exchange programs allow participants to step out of their comfort zone and to tackle problems individually. They will also identify and adhere to values that are important to them.
By making friends of different nationalities, participants practice interpersonal communication skills and cultivate extensive social networks.
Intercultural exchange program is a continuous learning process on daily basis, and participants can refine their analytical skills and learn to look at things from different perspectives.
The program allows participants to study, live and interact as a global citizen. It shapes the youngsters’ view of self and the world.
